It is remarkable how our breathing directly influences our mood, our nervous system, and our response to stress. What is even more impressive is that we have the ability to control our breathing, allowing us to influence the automatic processes in our body.
The more aware we are of our breathing and practice with it, the better our nervous system becomes at adapting to stress and handling the ups and downs of life. During the workshop, we will delve deep. The way you breathe influences the nervous system, which in turn affects your mood and how you respond to stress. In the past, we primarily dealt with acute and physical stress. In today’s world, it is mainly lingering and chronic stress. This causes many people to develop a dysfunctional breathing pattern.
During the workshop, we will explore the theory and conduct several tests to map out the current quality of your breathing, using our three key components: awareness, technique, and biochemistry. We teach participants different techniques and exercises that they can apply in their daily lives to experience the power of healthy breathing.
Towards the end of the workshop, we will introduce participants to a technique called conscious connected breathing. This technique often leads to personal insights and a deep sense of clarity and calm. Additionally, it increases body awareness, which is beneficial for the challenge that follows: the ice bath. Can you stay present in the moment? Feel and consciously shift towards relaxation? Slow down and realize that you can manage stress when you take control of your breathing.
In short, a morning/afternoon full of learning, feeling, and personal growth!
Then following the workshop can provide valuable insights.
